Renovations are taking place at my house, and we have a spare room I am planning to transform into a walk-in closet/office. After much research, I feel like Ikea’s PAX wardrobe system has the capability to achieve the look I envision and meet my organization needs. A huge plus is that the system has adjustable pieces that give flexibility to change the closet’s configuration, as needs change in the future.
A wishlist of what I would like for my ideal closet:
- Floor to ceiling storage
- Display options for accessories and purses
- Double rods
- Mix of drawers and shelving
- Storage solutions for shoes
- Storage solution for bulky sweaters
Here are 16 Ikea PAX closets I have heart eyes for.
1) Three Birds Renovations designed an almost museum-like closet with so much storage. Read more on how they designed and installed this closet system in HARD TO BELIEVE IT’S IKEA! .
With glass counters, you can display favorite items, while still being tucked away. Drawer organizers are add-ons to the PAX system, but you can also shop Amazon for other options, like the one shown below from The Identite Collective: Closet Makeover.

3) Crazy Wonderful has collected their favorites in IKEA Closet Inspiration. This one caught my eye.

Just seeing so many others manage to build amazing closets of their own, makes me excited to finally create my own. I plan to share my reveal with you all.
